Music in Runescape
14 February, 2012
In most cases players hear music in the background which improves game’s atmosphere and helps the player to have a deeper gaming experience. Runescape’s music is an unusual mixture of classical music with progressive rock and other music styles.
But music tracks need to be unlocked during the game. If you want to do that you’ll have to fulfill some of the game’s quests, exploring some of the locations in the game and reading books. At this point there are hundreds of quests in the game and if the player will unlock a certain amount of tracks the player will unlock some game emotes. Unfortunately, there is no informational message on the screen when you unlock a track so it is up to him to watch the number of tracks he or she has.
And of course there are lot music genres. If you visit a location you’ll be hearing music that’s a part of a certain music genre in the game. For example dungeon type of music is played every time you enter a cave or a dungeon and there are quite a lot of tracks in dungeon music genre. Most of the music is played randomly and there are tracks like Underground and Tiptoe in this genre. So there are almost endless possibilities for those players who are fond of great music and want to enjoy great music tracks while playing the game.
