How to handle tasks: Part I

Tasks in Runescape are much like quests in other MMO’s. They involve and NPC who gives you the task which has several or one goals. If you complete these tasks you will eventually receive a reward. There are seven areas in Runescape that are available for these tasks. They are different depending on the player’s skill level. There are the easiest ones that may require no skills at all and all the harder ones that are made for more experienced players.  Unfortunately, these tasks are open only for those who have paid the monthly subscription.

The first tasks were introduced back in year 2007. In the past the task system was called the achievement diary and was composed of missions with different difficulty settings. There were the easy ones, the missions with medium difficulty and the missions for more experienced players. In time there was added another mission type called elite and in the same period they were renamed in tasks.

To enter tasks a player needs to find the task icon when in game. He’ll immediately receive information about all the tasks which he will be able to do and the tasks which he already has completed. To see it you should choose the Open Task List option. You’ll be able to see all the tasks that are available for the current area.
