Combat pure: Introduction

17 February, 2012

Some of the players in Runescape create characters that are made only for combat purposes. These kinds of characters are called the Combat Pure and are trained and used on combat, and have only those skills that can be used in combat. They have the most success in battle, but unfortunately, have only minimum set of skills needed for other game situations and are weak at all other gameplay styles in Runescape. These characters are best used in PvP and mostly this is the main purpose of combat pure characters.

These types of characters in most cases have Attack, Ranged, Strength and Magic skills trained to the maximum and have a minimum level of Prayer and Defence. They are good damage dealers and are quite fast. There are a lot of players who train pures out of prestige. Others consider it a good challenge to train a good and efficient pure.

Also there are several types of pures. Most of them boost their Attack skill while avoiding defence. This allows these characters to wield the most powerful weapons in the game (like the dragon type of weapons) and deal the most damage they can. Another type or pures is the Hybrid Pure. These characters use a combination of several offensive skills and have Magic and Ranged skills trained enough to use them in the battle.
